Benefit Wednesday, 9.29, for Ryan Skyles, Good Pie Cook and Hit-and-Run Victim

Ryan Skyles, a cook at Midtown Neapolitan pizza restaurant the Good Pie, suffered a broken ankle and other injuries when a driver ran a red light and struck his bike last week. The driver did not stop. (KSDK has the full story of Skyles' accident.) Tomorrow, September 29, the Good Pie, 33 Wine Shop & Tasting Bar and Gioia's Deli will donate all profits toward helping Skyles pay for his hospital bills and purchase a new bike.

Gut Check is a big fan of the Good Pie -- I had lunch there just last week, in fact -- and sends Skyles best wishes for a speedy recovery.
