Chill Frozen Yogurt (7610 Wydown Blvd, Clayton; 314-932-5010) announced last week that its final location will close this Saturday, March 2. Locations in Des Peres and Ladue closed in 2013 and 2011, respectively. A separate local frozen yogurt company, Yo My Goodness, is taking over the brand and Clayton shop.

"It's just a good transition time in life and it's funny, a lot of our staff are seniors in high school, so they would be leaving to go off to college anyway," manager Liz Summers tells us. "So it's just working out for the best."

Summers also says that Yo My Goodness is taking on remaining Chill employees, though she won't be staying. She started out in marketing at Chill, but took over running the locations about two years ago when the operations manager left -- the owners, Amy and Bill Koman, live in San Diego.

"They're so generous, and everything's been an easy transition. I have a few months to regroup," Summers says. "Everybody's ready to get out of the business, so it just seemed to fit."

There won't be any farewell party or big blowout at Chill this week, but Summers says customers can expect the usual favorites "until will have to close our doors on Saturday."

Yo My Goodness opened in Webster Groves in 2010 and has since added locations in St. Charles, Valley Park, Crestwood and the Hilton at the ballpark. It's expected to re-open in Chill's location sometime next month.

Chill Clayton will close Saturday at 10 p.m.
