Copper Pig to Open in Growing Southampton Neighborhood

Another new restaurant is headed to the buzzing SoHa neighborhood: Copper Pig (4611 Macklind Avenue). It's owned by Nhat Nguyen, who you may remember as a star bartender at the late Mirasol and Urban, which closed on South Grand last year.

Copper Pig is currently under construction, and will join noteworthy restaurants like Grapeseed, Russell's on Macklind and Onesto Pizza and Trattoria in the neighborhood. According to the Southampton Neighborhood Association, Copper Pig will be "a new gastropub featuring an Asian street food menu."

Its website says it plans to open the doors in Spring 2015, and will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for brunch.

Nguyen declined to comment for this story.
