Creve Coeur store manager Bill Meyer arrives at 4 a.m. to oversee the baking of more than 200 pies each morning. The restaurant offers 29 different kinds, if you include the fresh strawberry when it's in season. The French silk, a dense chocolate pie, continues to be the most popular variety.
