Florissant City Council Approves New Rally's
Rally's

After a vote Monday night at the Florissant City Council meeting, Rally's Hamburgers has been approved to move into 2182 North Highway 67. The petition was approved by the planning and zoning commission in July. Rally's is apparently looking to elevate its brand nationwide and wants this location to begin a "more contemporary look" for the company in St. Louis.

There will have to be some stone work done; the building does not currently meet the masonry ordinance. Commission members were also concerned about Rally's painting the brick -- they "would like it done nicely and professionally and include the entire building." Commissioner James Hessel said the currently building looked so bad that anything would be an improvement. Rally's has promised to installing new curbing, new dumpsters, re-paint and re-seal the parking lot and refurbish the lights, plus plant new landscaping features.

Petitioners also assured the city that since this Rally's will be corporate-owned, not franchisee-owned, there would be plenty of money to keep it looking nice. It will also be required to install bollards around outdoor seating for safety because of the high flow of shopping center of traffic.

The Rally's in Florissant will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m., though the commission said it had no problem with the fast food joint being open 24 hours a day. We'll update you with a projected opening date when we get it.
