The city of Clayton and the St. Louis Food Truck Association have teamed up for yet another delicious food-truck event, this time on Sundays. On the second Sunday of the month in June, July and August, head to Shaw Park (South Brentwood and Forsyth boulevards, Clayton; 314-746-0426) for a mobile meal and live music.

"[Food trucks] seem to be the thing as far as the popular event people are hosting these days," says Janet Eiserle LeMay, the City of Clayton event specialist. "So we're just trying to find an opportunity to bring something like that to Clayton. We feel we want to not only bring people into the community, but we'd like to showcase Shaw Park as well."

For the first Sunday (June 8), there will be ten food trucks open from 4 to 8 p.m.: Bayou Ribs, Bombay Food Junkies, Curbside Cookery, Deli on a Roll, Holy Crepe, Sia's Italian Ice, Steak Louie, Steamroller, Walk Away Waffles and Yo Salsa. LeMay expects the lineup will rotate each month. There will also be a few tents selling beer and sangria, plus music and kids' activities from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is free, and guests are encouraged to bring their own seating, although there are some park benches. You can also call 314-290-8544 for updates regarding weather. More information is available here.

"Shaw Park is a great park," LeMay says. "This is a great opportunity for people to meet up with friends and enjoy the park."
