FoodWire: Bartenders' Charity Ball Monday, December 7, 2009

Ever drank with a bartender? It can be a little intimidating; the last thing you want is to look like an amateur in front of a guy or lady who mixes and pours for a living. But drinking for a good cause might help calm your nerves.

And so we have the Bartenders' Charity Ball, an annual fund-raiser that brings together St. Louis area bartenders to benefit the SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. It again happens on Monday, December 7. It's again at the Hyatt Regency-Riverfront hotel. See photos from the '08 Bartenders Charity Ball.

Details and flier after the jump.

Where: Hyatt Regency-Riverfront (4th and Chestnut streets)
When: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., Monday, December 7, 2009

As noted on the poster above, tickets are $75 in advance and $80 the day of the event; they are available at bars around St. Louis. Also shown above, the dress code for the event is usually a bit upscale, so here's an opportunity to see your regular bartender in more than a T-shirt or power tie. It should be noted that you don't have to be a bartender to attend, but please, at least drink like a bartender. It's good for everything, except your liver.
