Received an e-mail from Pat Rutherford-Pettine, owner of Dogtown's Sugaree Baking Company (1242 Tamm Avenue). The bakery is celebrating Pi Day -- tomorrow, March 14, or 3.14 -- with those pi-shaped cookies pictured here and plenty of pie. The bakery is open to the public Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Call 314-645-5496 for more info.

And as long as were on the subject of Pi Day: After yesterday's post, a few more mathematically inclined readers pointed out that Pi Day is officially celebrated at 1:59:26 in the morning, as 1:59 in the afternoon is actually 13:59:26 in, you know, European time.
