FoodWire: Serious Eats Visits Pi

Last week, I noted that Slice, the pizza-centric blog run by national food blog Serious Eats, had filed a report on Thai Pizza Co. in the Delmar Loop. This week, Slice returns to the Loop to check out Pi (6144 Delmar Boulevard; website).

Daniel Zemans, who also wrote the Thai Pizza Co. post, is generally impressed with Pi in his report:

The deep dish, which I got with Berkshire pork sausage and fresh mushrooms, was excellent. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's in the top few. The thick, corn meal heavy crust, was crisp, but not crumbly. It held up well, literally and in terms of taste, to the impressive amount of cheese, toppings and sauce.
