Thanks to the always helpful Urban STL forums for this tip: Soulard Smokehouse (1627 South 9th Street) has closed. This was the short-lived successor to Fat Toney's Bar-B-Que. The phone is disconnect, the restaurant is locked tight and there is even a For Sale sign outside. Soulard Smokehouse was briefly famous around these parts for one of the more remarkable shilling jobs we've seen.
