This one slipped under my radar -- especially embarrassing since I live only a five-minute drive from here. At any rate, South Grand Gyro Express is now open at 5622 South Grand Boulevard. The restaurant features gyros (duh) as well as kabobs, biryani, falafel and other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes.

According to the sign posted on the front door, South Grand Gyro Express is open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Mon.-Sat. and 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sun. Also: For the moment, the restaurant is cash-only. Call 314-481-1033 for more info.
