Gut Check Poll: To Chick-fil-A or Not to Chick-fil-A?

Gut Check just finished reading about how four dudes have pitched a tent outside a brand-new Chick-fil-A restaurant that's set to open this morning in Des Peres.

Said dudes are determined to take advantage of a company promotion that awards the first 100 patrons at a brand-new Chick-fil-A a one-year supply of Chick-fil-A meals.

We actually got wind of the promotion the other day, when we received a press release from Chick-fil-A's flacks. We figured maybe we'd send one of our photo interns out to Des Peres to shoot a slideshow's worth of pics of whoever's idiotic enough to pitch a tent in temperatures forecast to drop into the single digits.

(Funny thing: Neither intern responded to our e-mail.)

Then we got to ruminating about how Chick-fil-A has been ruffling feathers in the LGBT community (yes, that's a pun) lately.

You see, it has come to light that the company is all kinds of anti-gay: Yep, franchise owners are known to support sanctity-of-marriage groups, and the privately held, Christian-fried parent corporation runs a pro-family, anti-same-sex-marriage nonprofit, the WinShape Foundation.

Now, Chick-fil-A execs want you to know that they have absolutely no problem taking money from L's, G's, B's or T's who want them some chicken. They even made a video swearing to it:

But what do y'all think?
