Jennifer's Pharmacy and Soda Shoppe (30 North Central Avenue, Clayton; 314-862-7400) is a small but much-loved part of downtown Clayton. The natural-healing pharmacy and accompanying lunch counter nearly doubled its space back in 2005. However, fans were dismayed when owner Jennifer Rich announced that not only would it be moving, but the soda fountain and lunch counter would be no more.

"My lease is up. We had a good ten-year run here, but times have changed," Rich tells us. "I'm ready to do something different." The new Jennifer's will be at 141 North Meramec, Suite 315 -- the third floor of the Oxford Building in Clayton.
The lunch counter's last day will be March 14, and Rich expects the new pharmacy to be open by the end of the month. Jennifer's Pharmacy will focus on natural healing, vitamin supplements, therapy, natural skin care and more.
"It was fun, and we've got a lot of great memories. We met a lot of fun people over the ten years, and we watched kids grow up and families share," Rich says. "People are sad, yes. But it's time to close that part of our life."
