Regular Gut Check readers know we've been following the imminent opening of Red, the new, Eastern European-inspired restaurant at 1130 Washington Avenue.
I was in the neighborhood a few nights ago, and the place looked nearly ready. I called just now to see whether it would be open this weekend, and the woman who answered the phone said it wouldn't open until Downtown Restaurant Week, which begins Monday. (Red is one of the participating restaurants.)
Our friends over at Sauce have an interview with executive chef René Cruz, and Red's Web site has his lunch and dinner menus. Interesting stuff.
