The owners of LoRusso's Cucina (3121 Watson Road; 314-647-6222) have announced a new venture after twenty years in Clifton Heights. Rich and Terri LoRusso plan to open Leonardo's Kitchen & Wine Bar on the Hill in just a few weeks.

As first reported by Sauce, Leonardo's will focus on the Italian classics: pizza and wine. Well, those don't always go together, but what the LoRussos apparently mean is it will be a casual but elegant place.
There will be eight red and eight white Italian wines, local craft beers, small plates, sandwiches and maybe even fried chicken. Leonardo's, named after the LoRussos' grandson, will be at 2130 Macklind Avenue. An October 6 opening is anticipated pending a hearing on October 2; follow Leonardo's progress on Facebook.
