Let's Honor the First Cinnabon in Libya with Louis CK's Iconic Tribute

Last month, Libya welcomed its first-ever U.S. franchise restaurant. Not McDonald's. Not Starbucks. Cinnabon.

The franchisees, brothers Arief and Ahmed Swaidek, opened the restaurant -- actually a combination Cinnabon-Carvel -- in the capital, Tripoli. According to a press release from Cinnabon, they plan to open additional Cinnabon, Carvel and Moe's Southwest Grill locations in the coming years. In fact, the Swaidek's Cinnabon was due to open over a year ago, but was delayed due to a minor dispute in domestic politics.

As a fan of Louis CK, Gut Check couldn't help but think of the comedian's now iconic tribute to Cinnabon, which we share with you after the jump. Warning: Very NSFW language.

Reminder: Louis CK visits St. Louis Saturday, October 6.
