The owners of Local Harvest Grocery (3108 Morgan Ford Road; 314-865-5260) and Local Harvest Cafe & Catering (3137 Morgan Ford Road; 314-772-8815) announced in April that they would open a new downtown location of the cafe and a combined grocery store and cafe in Kirkwood.
The downtown location is just about ready to go.
Local Harvest Cafe & Catering Downtown will open on Monday, June 11, in the Old Post Office (815 Olive Street), according to the Local Harvest Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Local Harvest Downtown will be open from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The restaurant plans to offer weekend brunch service beginning next month.
When we spoke with co-owner Patrick Horine in April, he told us that the menu, overseen by chef Clara Moore, will be essentially the same as the Tower Grove South location, with a few seasonal variations and a few additions that the new kitchen's larger size will allow.
