Wisconsin-based Johnsonville Brats sponsors the World's Largest Brat Fest and provides the sausages. They also donate a lot of money to Governor Scott Walker, which has a lot of pro-union Wisconsonites angry enough to start their own festivals.
The Wisconsin State Journal predicted at least three alternative brat fests competing with the world's largest, none of them featuring Johnsville products. Their protest brat fests featured brats from small local companies.
All of the festivals raise money for a variety of Wisconsin charities.
