It's been a busy couple of months for the block Delmar Boulevard immediately east of Eastgate Avenue in the Delmar Loop. Chubbies (6227 Delmar Boulevard; 314-725-5000) opened at the beginning of this month. Mission Taco Joint, the new venture from brothers Adam and Jason Tilford of Milagro Modern Mexican, will debut in the former Delmar Restaurant & Lounge space at 6235 Delmar very soon.

Now it appears that a coffee shop will be joining these two new ventures and Thai Country Cafe (6223 Delmar Boulevard; 314-862-0787).

Gut Check is always hungry for more restaurant news. Feed us your tips.

Gut Check first heard a few weeks ago that someone had signed or was about to sign a lease for the one remaining vacant retail storefront on the block at 6225 Delmar. A few weeks later a trusted operative shared the rumor that the someone in question would be opening a coffee shop.

We still don't know many details, but based on the sign announcing a public hearing that appeared outside the address this week, we can report that the coffee shop in question is called BluePrint Coffee.

At this point, actually, this is all we can report, though the public-hearing sign -- which looked to have been tattered by Monday's rain -- seemed to specify that BluePrint would serve food but would not serve liquor.

More as we learn it.
