Now it appears that the space will become the home of another hot dog joint, Classic Dogs & More.
The restaurant registered last week with the Secretary of State's office as Classic Dogs & More in the Loop. Intriguingly, the venture's owner is listed as Grand Mediterranean Kabob Cafe, LLC. Grand Mediterranean Kabob Cafe was a relatively short-lived Persian restaurant at 4101 South Grand Boulevard. (I reviewed it in May 2007.) More as we learn it.
