Report: Mattingly Brewing Company Closed

Mike Sweeney has the scoop at STL Hops: Mattingly Brewing Company (3000 South Jefferson Avenue) has closed. However, this might not be the absolute end. Owner Doug Mattingly tells Sweeney that he would consider selling the brewpub or taking on a majority investor.

Mattingly had gained renown among local beer aficionados -- and this restaurant critic -- for the beers brewed there by Drew Huerter. Last year, RFT awarded Huerter's Black Sky Stout Porter "Best Beer."
