Cielo is several steps above the usual St. Louis restaurant. Literally: The restaurant is on the eighth floor of the new Four Seasons hotel adjacent to Lumière Place on Laclede's Landing. If the view from its floor-to-ceiling windows isn't the most panoramic in the city, it's certainly one of the most striking. The Arch, its parabolic form seeming to twist like a ribbon, is framed on one side by downtown's eastern edge, on the other by train tracks crossing the Mississippi. The effect is uncanny. You might imagine yourself a tourist in your own hometown.
This week I travel up, up, up to Cielo. Check back here tomorrow to see what I think.
