Do you love Instagramming your food — but wish someone other than your mother liked your photos?

Are you always out and about at the newest club — and sober enough the next morning to remember what made the place worth visiting?

If your answer to either of these questions is yes — and you're a clever writer with a knack for sharp sentences and stylish prose — you may be the person we're looking for.

The Riverfront Times' award-winning food blog is seeking two types of freelance contributors: food writers interested in covering the latest restaurants to open in the city, and a nightlife columnist who can bring wit and verve to coverage of the city's bars and clubs. In both cases, journalistic experience is not required — we're more interested in someone with an eye for telling detail than someone with a long resume. We're also looking for someone who has time to contribute at least once each week and is not horrified by our freelance rates. (Spoiler: You will not get rich doing this job.)

Send an email to [email protected] explaining why you're the right person for whichever of these gigs you find most appealing. Please include samples of your photography if possible and a link to any published work you're proud of, if you have indeed been published.

Oh — and if you're involved with doing PR or marketing for any local restaurants or bars, we unfortunately can't use you for this job. Please disclose any potential conflicts of interest upfront or risk our never-ending wrath.
