Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue, Maplewood; 314-241-2337) was closed all last week for a quick remodeling job. After a little celebration this past weekend, it opens back up to the public tomorrow, March 4, but Schlafly's communications director Troika Brodsky gave us a peek at the construction process.

The Crown Room Bar, a.k.a. the tasting room, was completely remodeled, while the kitchen got a new floor, the restaurant new paint and the walk-in beer cooler was rebuilt. Since the re-opening didn't go exactly according to plan, Schlafly paired with neighborhood favorites Strange Donuts, the Post and food delivery service Grub Go to feed patrons as the work dragged on over the weekend.

Gut Check seriously can't wait till it's warm enough for us to enjoy a brew on Schlafly's patio after work. In the meantime, check out more photos of the remodel below and stop by on Tuesday.
