See's Candies originated in Los Angeles in 1921, founded by Charles A. See, an immigrant from Canada. The recipes took root in See's childhood kitchen with his mother Mary See's confectionary recipes, and her image still appears on today's See's Candies boxes. From that point, shops expanded to Northern California and the products became an attraction at the World's Fair in San Francisco Bay,

"See's Candies operates more than 200 retail candy shops throughout the United States and offers one of the largest and finest selections of chocolates and confections in the world," says Lindsey Henn, representative from See's Candies. "For more than 90 years, See's Candies has been making delicious confections from the freshest and highest-quality ingredients."

Grab truffles ($9.45 for a half-pound; $18.90 for one pound), gourmet lollypops ($7.15 for 12 or $15.80 for 30) or a special "winter wonderland" box ($6.45 for 4.8 oz) filled with See's signature scotchmallows, butterscotch squares, milk chocolate foil balls and molasses chips as guaranteed to please stocking stuffers or housewarming treats.

"From the best-selling nuts and chews and assorted chocolates to the famous peanut brittle, luscious truffles, crunchy victoria toffee and creamy gourmet lollypops, See's Candies has something for everyone!" says Henn.

See's Candies' seasonal shops can be found in South County Mall, Chesterfield Mall and Saint Louis Galleria. For more information on their products, check out the See's Candies Web site.
