Ginger Bistro (6665 Delmar Boulevard, University City) shut down for "renovations" a few weeks ago, but according to University City records, that's no longer the case. Loop neighbor Seoul Taco (571 Melville Avenue, University City; 314-863-1148) will be moving into the space.

The University City Department of Community Development confirmed yesterday that Seoul Taco LLC and David Choi, its owner, have held the occupancy permit for 6665 Delmar Boulevard since August.

Choi declined to comment, but Ben Choi announced on Twitter last night that Seoul Taco will also have a sister restaurant, Seoul Q, which will be tabletop Korean barbecue and hot pots. The Ginger Bistro phone line says it's "temporarily out of service," and the website is no longer live; we were unable to reach the owners for comment.

Seoul Taco hit the scene as a food truck in 2011 and got its University City storefront in October 2012. It's been pretty popular ever since -- we named it Best Food Truck in 2012.
