The hot salami sandwich at Gioia's Deli

The hot salami sandwich at Gioia's Deli (1934 Macklind Avenue; 314-776-9410) is one of the great sandwiches of St. Louis. In fact, this here restaurant critic included it in his list of 100 Favorite St. Louis Dishes.

Mark your calendars for this Friday, July 2, as Gioia's marks its 92nd anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the deli is offering its signature sandwich for only $5 -- $2 off the regular price.

Truly devoted fans (and hoarders) should take note: There is a limit of two per customer. The deals runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., while supplies last.
