Sir's Bar-B-Q Open Downtown, Opening Soon in University City

Sir's Bar-B-Q now open downtown.

Gut Check reported in September that Sir-B-Que had closed its location at 5898 Delmar Boulevard. Turns out the restaurant was relocating -- and expanding. Thanks to tips from the Urban STL message board and an email from a reader*, I confirmed today that Sir's Bar-B-Q (same owner, modified name) has opened at 903 Pine Street downtown.

Restaurant-news obsessives will note that this is the former location of Sweet Thai Basil Cuisine, which closed its doors only last month.

In addition, Sir's Bar-B-Q is working on a second location at Olive Boulevard and Kingsland Avenue in University City, just north of the Delmar Loop. Look for that location to open in the next few weeks.
