Friday (Feb. 10):

Cod & Cask Festival @ Schlafly Tap Room Try out several cod specialties including famous fish'n'chips and plokkfiskur, a traditional Icelandic dish made with shredded cod, mashed potatoes, Bearnaise sauce and cheese. Wash it all down with Schlafly cask-conditioned beers made with a method borrowed from early 20th century British pubs. Free. Friday, Feb. 10 from 5 p.m. to midnight and Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Aphrodisiac-inspired Valentine's Dinner @ Square One Brewery & Distillery Enjoy this special Valentine's menu available on Friday, Feb. 10, Saturday, Feb. 11 and Tuesday, Feb. 14. For a set price, enjoy four courses with options including achiote pork, duck wings, chocolate hazelnut cake and more, or just order some items a la carte. Saturday (Feb. 11):

Valentine's Family Day @ Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis This family-friendly event features plenty of hands-on activities and special prizes sponsored by Bissinger's Chocolates. Free. 1 to 4 p.m.

LOVEmeier: Share Your Love of Laumeier @ Laumeier Sculpture Park Themes of love and art come together in this special event featuring flavors such as Kakao chocolate, a wine and brandy tasting, hot cocoa, cider and s'mores. Other aspects of the evening include illuminated landscape and sculptures, poetry, a DJ and warm firepits. $35 for non-members, children 11 and under free with adult admission. 5 to 9 p.m.

Intro to Burgandy @ The Wine Merchant Ltd. Take a crash course introduction into this region for $30, including samplings of pinot noir, chardonnay and more. Call 314-863-6282 to register. 6 p.m.

Valentine's Snuggie Pub Crawl @ Bar Louie Get comfy in a snuggie and partake in free shots and drink specials all night. $20 per person or $30 for couples. All proceeds go to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 5 to 11 p.m.

Sunday (Feb. 12):

Run for the Chocolate @ Downtown St. Louis This 5k/1 mile fun run to benefit the Downtown Bicycle Station stretches from Laclede's Landing to Crown Candy Kitchen and back. Registration costs $30 per person and $50 per couple with plenty of sweet dessert-themed prizes in several categories. Register for Run for the Chocolate online. 9 a.m.

Valentine's Brunch @ Bevo Mill Enjoy a Valentine's themed brunch with over 40 items including three meat carving stations, a build-your-own omelet station, German specialties and more. The price per seat is $31.95 for adults, $15.95 for children ages 6-12, and free for children five and under. Call 314-832-6776 for reservations. Seatings available between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard @ Soulard neighborhood Try out samples from several Soulard restaurants including Bogart's, Soulard Coffee Garden, Hammerstone's and more during this two day tasting event. $25 for seven tasting tickets. 26th Annual Missouri Winefest @ Westport Plaza's Indoor Pavillion Enjoy wine from Artesian Springs Winery, Cedar Lake Cellars, St. James Winery and more. A $20 entrance fee includes a commemorative goblet, wine sampling and live entertainment from Tony Viviano. Proceeds go to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
