Ahh, fall. This weather may be an early September fluke, but we can still enjoy it while it lasts. Celebrate beer with the annual Hop in the City event or try some new coffees at the inaugural F&D Prime Culinary Tour. Check out our food-related recommendations after the jump.

Friday (Sept. 12):
Food Truck Friday @ Tower Grove Park
"One of the summer's best events is back for its September takeover of Tower Grove Park. Yes, the lines are long, but the food is totally worth it. Grab some friends and pick from trucks like Chop Shop, Guerrilla Street Food, Completely Sauced, Hot Aztec and lots more. Live music this week is from Swamp Tigers. From 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free."
Hop in the City @ Schlafly Tap Room
"Every year Schlafly brews more than 40 styles of beer. While some are available year round, many seasonal and special releases can only be procured for a limited time, and nearly half are only available on tap, never seeing the inside of a bottle. If you blinked and missed your favorite Schlafly specialty beer or are looking to broaden your brewed beverage horizons, then the annual Hop in the City has got your ticket with everything from Pumpkin Ale to Coffee Stout up for the tasting. The $30 admission entitles you to a commemorative tasting glass, live music and all the fine Schlafly beer your buds can taste between noon until 5 p.m."
F&D Prime Culinary Tours @ Comet Coffee
"For the first dining 'tour,' you'll sit down with the staff of Comet Coffee and enjoy four seasonal brews paired with seasonal fruit and pastries. It's perfect for the coffee novice -- yes, coffee has different flavors that can change based on external factors, just like wine. It's good for the coffee nerd, too: F&D and Comet will discuss harvests and beans and brewing. There are six sessions with six spots each this weekend, beginning Friday, September 12. Tickets are $15 each for four seasonal coffees, fruit and pastry, available here."
Saturday (Sept. 13):
Fiesta on Cherokee @ Downtown Cherokee
Cherokee Street has some of the best Mexican food in St. Louis, so it's a perfect place to celebrate Mexican and Latin culture. Grab margaritas, pina coladas, tamales, tacos, tortas, paletas, elote and more in this celebration of Mexico's independence from Spain. There will also be live music and entertainment from regional Mexican acts, plus activities for kids and craft and art vendors. Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
Sunday (Sept. 14):
Scooperbowl Ice Cream Soda Jerk Off @ The Fountain on Locust
"It's The Fountain on Locust's third annual Scooperbowl, also known as 'The Ice Cream Soda Jerk-Off' Yes, it's a soda jerk competition, a crazy fun adult event with lots of free ice cream and yummy drink specials, including ice cream martinis. See Glamour Girls in the "Presenting of the Scoops" followed by the soda jerk competition. Drink specials include ice cream martinis for $6." $5 suggested donation at the door, which benefits Doorways. From 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Call 314-535-7800 for reservations."
