It's been months since The Great Gatsby came out, but it seems as if everyone is still high on Baz Luhrmann's Prohibition-era spectacle. The Libertine (7927 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton; 314-862-2999) definitely is, judging by its weekend plans. Nick Luedde's Clayton success is throwing a Roaring '20s party Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Luedde took a few minutes whilst getting his costume at the Vintage Haberdashery to give us the scoop on the post-Halloween celebration.

"We're all kind of into that era, and in a lot of our design, we harken back to that time period," Luedde says. "We were tormented on what to do for Halloween, and we came up with this!"
Staff (and presumably, customers) will all be dressed in their Gatsby best while Prohibition-era cocktails flow. "We'll have five or six cocktails featured, though I haven't decided what yet. I'm still wrapping my head around it," Luedde says -- the Libertine only made the decision a few days ago.
Chef Josh Galliano is preparing a special menu with items from the 1920s. Luedde wouldn't spill just what his costume is (perhaps he doesn't know himself yet), but he promises the weekend will be worthy of Daisy Buchanan herself.
