The Morning Brew: Tuesday, 8/21

Did I see any of you at Marcia's Surgery Festival last night? Well, I was incognito. (I hope.) But it was a nice turnout.

On the subject of grocery stores: Guess who's coming to town, St. Louis County? Super Wal-Mart. To be precise, four area Wal-Marts will be expanded into Super Wal-Marts. (Post-Dispatch)

When a packaged food item claims to have zero trans fats, does that mean there are no trans fats? (AP)

You know who's going trans-fat free? The Great Indiana State Fair. Seriously. (New York Times)

A follow-up to last week's oddball item about Gwyneth Paltrow hosting a cooking show with Mario Batali in Spain. Seems like the show is for PBS and will be Batali in Spain with Paltrow in tow. Still odd. (New York Daily News)

I really, really hope that's the only time I have to link to the Daily News gossip page.
