We were amazed by this video, via Gawker, of a working piano that a hacker collective called NYC Resistor made out of fruit:
Naturally, we had to search for other examples of musical food (beans don't count)...
This guy has made a bit of a name for himself on the Internet playing songs on vegetables. Here he is playing a pan flute made from carrots:
This guy, on the other hand, turns his carrot into a clarinet. (Though we're not sure whether to be impressed or to deduct points for his use of non-food items for a richer sound):
