Bike to Breakfast @ Downtown Bicycle Station & Kaldi's On Demun Trailnet hosts this series of promotional events the third friday of every month from now through October to encourage bike travel. Show up on two wheels and get rewarded with free coffee and a mini scone. 7 to 9 a.m.
Friday Night at the Chef's Table @ L'Ecole Culinaire During this casual first come, first served happy hour style event, order small plates for under $10 a pop to enjoy with A. Bommarito wines, local beers and spirits, and signature cocktails. 4 to 7:30 p.m.
Crawfish Fest @ Broadway Oyster Bar This month's food fest features 700 pounds of live Louisiana crawfish. Items on the menu include crawfish bisque, crawfish fondue, crawfish cakes over fried green tomatoes and crawfish sliders served with crawfish mac & cheese, just to name a few. Opt for an entree or go headfirst into a freshly boiled bucket. Admission is free. Friday, Apr. 1 starting at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 2 starting at 1 p.m.
Around the World Wine Dinner @ Missouri Botanical Garden Get wined and dined with a four course meal complete with wine pairings. Webster Groves Herb Society's Annual Herb Sale @ First Congregational Church of Webster Groves Shop the largest herb sale in the St. Louis metro area. Choose from thirty herbs including dill, chives and chamomile as well as a few veggies like eggplant and tomatillos to spruce up up your garden or window sill. Admission is free. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Grand Opening @ The Sweet Divine This Cupcake Wars winning pastry shop moves to bigger digs in the Soulard neighborhood. Stop by for a quick bite and a shot of caffeine. Admission is free. 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Belleville Ale Fest @ Belleville Crossing shopping center Choose from 80 craft brews including styles by Perennial, Schlafly, 4 Hands, Six Row and Urban Chestnut. Tickets are $25 per person and include a commememorative glass and fifteen drink tickets good for three-ounce samples. Noon to 4 p.m.
Spring Fling @ Eckert's Country Store & Farms Take a family-friendly farm tour, ask an expert for veggie growing tips at the Garden Center, peruse an herb bar with growing tips, recipes and tastings and sample products from the Country Store. Admission is free. Saturday, Apr. 20 and Sunday Apr. 21 from noon to 4 p.m.
Sunday (Apr. 21):
The Bowled and the Beautiful @ Kitchen Conservatory Learn how to make five different chowders in the hands-on class. The menu for the afternoon is New England clam chowder, potato-ale-cheddar chowder, corn chowder, Mexican tortilla chowder and curried sweet potato chowder. $55 per person - register online via the Kitchen Conservatory website. 12:30 to 3 p.m.
