Friday (Aug. 16):

Third Friday Free Party @ Third Degree Glass Factory Third Degree Glass Factory kisses summer goodbye with watermelon martinis, food trucks, plenty of art, performances by Union Avenue Opera and Rosewood Band, fire techs and small plates like smoked pulled pork sliders and tri-colored sweet pepper slaw. Admission is free. 6 to 10 p.m.

Around the World Wine Dinner @ Missouri Botanical Garden This week's dinner theme is India, so look forward to dishes like shrimp and vegetable pakora with chutneys, housemade paneer and tender lamb shoulder "nihari." Wine Dinner @ Soulard's Restaurant & Bar The special four-course meal features pairings such as lobster bisque with Boomtown Chardonnay and filet mignon with Dusted Valley Cabernet. $89.95 per person with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society. 6:30 p.m.

The Bevo Mill German Night @ Bevo Mill Enjoy authentic German food and beer, along with live music, sing alongs, games and prizes. $25+. 5 to 10 p.m. every third Friday of every month until Sept. 20.

Footless @ Bissell Mansion Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Bissell presents the interactive comedy murder mystery Footless, a story with a mob mentality and plenty of dance scenes. Shows are available on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from now through October. The cost per seat is $52.95 per person and includes a four-course meal with entree options such as an eight-ounce New York strip and baked white fish with an almondine sauce.
