Friday (Feb. 22):
National Margarita Day @ Vida Mexican Kitchen y Cantina Sip on margaritas sold for special prices ($4-$8). $1 from each margarita will be matched by Vida and donated to Habitat for Humanity.
5th Annual St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival @ Moulin Urban Chestnut, Six Row, 4 Hands Brewing, Buffalo Brewing and Charleville Brewing Co. are but a few of the particpants for this bubbly beerfest with plenty of brews to go around. $31.50-$41.50 at the door. 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Saturday (Feb. 23):
Winter Farmers Market @ Schlafly Bottleworks Select goods from vendors such as 4 Seasons Baked Goods, Centennial Farms, Missouri Grass Fed Beef, Salume Beddu and more. Admission is free. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Celebrate Life, Celebrate Local @ Monarch Sample wine, beer, chocolate and spirits while viewing demonstrations from special guests mixologist Ted Kilgore of Taste, chocolatier Brian Pelletier of Kakao Chocolate, and winemaker Jerry Mueller of Robller Vineyard. Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased online. Proceeds benefit SSM Hospice and Home Care. 4 to 7 p.m.
Sunday (Feb. 24):
Kitchen Kulture Brunch @ Sump Coffee For $8, enjoy Kitchen Kulture's from-scratch entree options such as roasted turkey chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Pint Size Bakery pastries also make an appearance. No reservations needed. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sugared, Spiced and Everything Iced @ Missouri Botanical Garden Check out expertly decorated cakes and cookies during this special annual exhibit. Price is included in Garden admission - $4 for St. Louis City and County residents; free for children ages 12 and under. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
6th Annual Soup Cook-Off @ Meramec Community College Gym Manor Grove hosts soup and dessert cooking contests. $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hot Skillet Farms Chili Cook-Off @ Sasha's on Shaw Enjoy all-you-can-eat chili, live music and craft beers. $20 per person. To particpate in the contest itself, bring at least two quarts of your own entry by the event start time. 2 p.m.
Sloup #32 @ Contemporary Art Museum Get a bowl of Kitchen Kulture's homemade vegan soup with locally sourced grilled cheese and slaw, as well as a chance to vote on an item from a collection of arts proposals. $10 per person. 4 to 6 p.m.
Pajama Movie Night @ City Diner Don your favorite sleepwear and gather around the counter for hot cocoa, diner dishes and vintage movies to coincide the restaurant's retro theme. Admission is free. 7 p.m.
