Who knew it would be such a political week here at Gut Check International Headquarters? We called out some Post-Dispatch commenters for their ridiculous (and sometimes racist) takes on Pi traveling to the White House, and then we chatted with Pi's Chris Sommers about the trip and the fallout.

Speaking of fallout, Dave Lowry of St. Louis Magazine had a bone to pick with last week's review of El Borracho. This week's review of the Shaved Duck steered clear of film criticism.

This week we also paid a visit to Iron Fork and Sugo's Spaghetteria, and we learned how to store wine at home, make coffee in a French press and fall in love with a Sneak. Oh, and the Dive Bomber is now, officially, a cat.
