Tidbits from the Wicked Lady, Civil Life Brewing and White Castle

- The Wicked Lady Pub (4534 Gravois Avenue; 314-448-1978) is under new ownership and will soon have a new name, reports Gabe Hartwig of the Post-Dispatch. The restaurant and bar will close at the end of this week and reopen in September with a new menu as The Parlour. Chris Ladley, who oversaw the menu at the Wicked Lady (which I liked quite a bit), is not involved in the new venture.

- The Civil Life Brewing Company (3714 Holt Avenue), the new craft brewery from former 33 Wine Shop & Tasting Bar owner Jake Hafner, is set to debut soon. STL Hops has news on which beers the Civil Life will offer first.

- Finally, my colleague Chad Garrison has the story of an attempted robbery of a local White Castle that went somewhat awry.
