The restaurant is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. You can reach Sushi Sake at 314-892-8188.
- Soul-food institution Delmonico's Diner (4909 Delmar Boulevard; 314-361-0973) has been closed "temporarily" since late last year. When we last checked in May, we'd received a comment from the original owner that it would reopen under new ownership. It remains closed.
However, it appears that some work on refurbishing the restaurant is underway, with most of the original furniture having been cleared out. So perhaps a reopening isn't too far off in the future.
- Doug Moore of the Post-Dispatch has an in-depth look at Jason Wilson, who plans to open a coffeeshop called Chronicle Coffee at 1235 Blumeyer Avenue just north of Grand Center.
