Uncle Bill's Wins Favorite 24-Hour Restaurant Poll

South city stalwart Uncle Bill's Pancake & Dinner House (3427 South Kingshighway; 314-832-1873) won Gut Check's highly unscientific reader poll on favorite 24-hour restaurants. Uncle Bill's finished with a smidge over 27% of the vote, easily outpacing the competition.

The two Courtesy Diner locations finished second (Hampton Avenue) and third (South Kingshighway).

If you treat the two locations as a single entity -- which you shouldn't -- Courtesy still fell a few votes short of Uncle Bill's total.

The fifteen other votes included six votes for Gingham's Restaurant and four votes for Billie's Fine Foods in Soulard.
