Vino Nadoz Bistro & Wine Bar (16 The Boulevard, Richmond Heights; 314-726-0400) has become a full-time event space after substantial customer demand. It's one of three (soon to be four) in the Nadoz family, along with Nadoz at the Boulevard and Nadoz at the Coronado. Co-owner Steven Becker tell Gut Check that he and his wife Kathy also want to focus their efforts on the new location in the Chesterfield Valley.

"We just had such a large demand for private-event space and we've been doing so many events -- bridal showers, small parties -- and so many want to be on weekday nights or weekend nights, and it got to the point where it makes more sense for us," Becker says. The neighboring cafe will still be open, and patrons can use Vino Nadoz as overflow seating as needed.
"We kind of get the best of both worlds," he says. "We've had tremendous feedback from customers and we have a very good reputation, and we appreciate it." Becker also says that this way, they'll be able to focus efforts on the new Nadoz cafe at the Taubman Prestige Outlets in the valley. One reason they chose the outlet mall was to replicate the substantial foot traffic on The Boulevard.
"Construction's running really nicely -- we'll open before Valentine's Day," he says. "We get good food traffic, so it's just a natural for us to maintain our motto: Never shop hungry." Call the event-planning office at 314-367-4848 for rental information.
