Good news, ladies! It turns out that Animee Beer, the ladies-only brew slated to hit UK markets this month, isn't the only option for girls who like to drink.
Thanks to Bitch Media, we now know that the U.S. has its own girl beer. A craft beer. And you can be assured it's for girls because the label has a big, curly late '90s font that attracts women who are still clutching tear-stained copies of Bridget Jones's Diary.
It's Chick Beer, brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery in Monroe, Wisconsin. It's a milk stout brewed with lactose from Wisconsin dairy cows, which packs an extra calorie wallop along with 6.3 percent alcohol.
We're kidding, of course. Chick Beer is exactly what you'd expect: a 97 calorie light beer with 3.5 carbs and a flavor the company describes as "soft and smooth, and less bitter." And to prevent that icky bloat, it's "lightly" carbonated.
In other words, it's a flat, flavorless beer. But the bottle looks like a curvy lady and the six-packs look like purses!
