Please, sir, may I have some news?

Please, sir, may I have some news?

In a perfect world, yours truly would be able to drive around town all day, checking up on the latest restaurant openings. What I didn't see, I'd discover using my telepathic powers.

While I do drive all over the place, I can't make it everywhere. (And you know what gas costs these days.) Sadly, my telepathic powers remain latent. So I remind you, loyal readers, to let me know what's new or interesting in your neck of the words. You can post a comment here or shoot me an email at ian.froeb@riverfronttimes.com.

I can't promise that a place you suggest will be reviewed -- and if you catch me near deadline, I might not reply to your email right away -- but know that I'm grateful for every tip.

If any industry types are reading this, a note especially for you: I like press releases. A lot. Please fax any restaurant- or food-related press releases to 314-754-6416, Attn: Ian Froeb.

Thanks! Actual news and more coming later today.
