A Weekend for Tomatoes

Posted By on Fri, Aug 17, 2007 at 5:48 PM

So, uh, I'm just going to stop previewing the next week's blog items. Every time I do, I write other stuff instead. So one of these weeks I'll discuss the search for the perfect grocery store and the mysteries of Thai food. (I have big plans for these two subjects, you see.) But not this week. Again.

We will go fishing for good seafood in Clayton next week. That much I can say for sure.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Saturday night Iron Barley is hosting the Tomato Ball to benefit the Lift for Life Gym; the festivities continue on Sunday with Tomato Fest.

Also this weekend, the Missouri Botanical Garden is holding the Best Homegrown Tomato Challenge. The mysterious Ms. Day has your details right here.

Whatever you do this weekend, eat something good.
