The Morning Brew: Thursday, 12/13

Posted By on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 10:11 AM

My friends, I'd like you to meet my new hero. Pictured at right is Charlie, a bichon frese who single-handedly derailed the annual world pie-eating championship in Wigan, Great Britain. It seems Charlie dragged the pie crusts out of a refrigerator. (Lancashire Evening Post)

Sadly, it seems the contest will go ahead as planned, but we here at Gut Check -- who are on record as despising eating contests -- salute you, Charlie, for your noble efforts. Good doggie.

Good. Doggie.

Uh, otherwise, the well is dry this morning. Here's a silly photo gallery of which holiday foods are naughty and which are nice. (ABC News)
