The New York Times is publishing a series of articles detailing the impact of the demand for seafood in Europe on the global fish supply. The first part, published yesterday, looks at how illegal fishing and government mismanagement are devastating the fisheries of West Africa.

The second part, published today, looks at the growing presence of imported -- and often illegal -- seafood in European markets.
