FoodWire: New Year's Eve at Harvest

Local favorite Harvest (1059 South Big Bend Boulevard) is hosting a four-course dinner on New Year's Eve. The cost is $60 per person, not including tax, tip or drinks. Call 314-645-3522 for reservations or more information.

First Course

a choice of the following:

Crispy Maine Crab cake with a Green Papaya Slaw and Sweet Chili-Scallion Aioli

Harvest's Charcuterie Plate with Country Pork Pate, Duck Breast "Pastrami", and Smoked Missouri Rainbow Trout

Roasted Local Butternut Squash Soup with a Missouri Apple Muffin and Cinnamon Crème Fraiche

Second Course

a choice of the following:

Mixed Field Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette and Herbed Cheese Toast

Steve's Caesar Salad with Roasted Garlic Croutons and Wisconsin Parmesan

Bibb Lettuce "Wedge" with Toasted Almonds, Shaved Red Onion, and Creamy Amish Blue Cheese Dressing

Third Course

a choice of the following:

Zinfandel Braised Angus Beef Short-Ribs on a Parsnip Puree, with Broccoli Rabe, Meyer Lemon Gremolata, and Natural Sauce

Sous-Vide Free Range Amish Chicken Breast on a Ragout of Melted Leeks, Fingerling Potatoes, and Escarole, with a Winter Truffle Gravy

Pan Roasted Florida Coast Pompano on a Yukon Gold Potato Puree, with Braised Mustard Greens and a Preserved Lemon-Boquerone Vinaigrette

Grilled Beef Tenderloin Filet on Illinois Horseradish Mashed Potatoes, with Creamed Spinach and Bordelaise Sauce

Porcini Mushroom Gnocchi with Caramelized Onions, Sauteed Swiss Chard, and a Blue Cheese-Mushroom Cream
