FoodWire: Greek Wine Dinner at Tenderloin Room 9.18

The Tenderloin Room (232 North Kingshighway; website), a favorite haunt of George Clooney while he was in town filming Up in the Air, is hosting a Greek wine dinner on Friday, September 18, as part of its monthly "World of Wine" dinner series. The four-course meal, featuring Greek wines paired with each course, is $55 per person (tax and tip not included). Call 314-361-0900 to make reservations or for more information. First
Saganaki: Baked imported kasseri cheese with lemon, flamed tableside

Second
Traditional Greek salad: Mixed greens, tomato, cucumbers, kalamata olives, red onion, feta cheese with house made dressing

Third
Grecian-style broiled rack of lamb: New Zealand spring lamb char-broiled, lemon oreganato, roasted lemon garlic potato, sautéed fresh spinach with dill, onion, garlic and olive oil

Dessert
Galaktobouriko: Citrus custard layered in filo and drizzled with honey
