When Gut Check learned that the Chocolate Oreo Milkshake at Baskin Robbins had been named the worst food in America, checking in at 2,600 calories and 263 grams of sugar...well, we just had to try it! The grim results and the rest of the month in review after the jump.

Delmar Loop institution Saleem's closed....A recipe from pastry chef Mathew Rice, then of Niche, appears in Food & Wine magazine....Kirkwood's two-fer restaurant Trattoria Two and Two Nice Guys closed....The Map Room opened in Benton Park, and, wow!, were people excited about it....Don't eat that peanut butter!...A tasty inauguration luncheon for our new president....Jake Hafner announces his departure from 33 Wine Shop & Tasting Bar....The Shaved Duck reopens with a new menu.
