How about one final batch of restaurant tidbits for the year -- the decade, even! (Sorry.)

At any rate, Midtown's The U (3108 Olive Street; website) will open for breakfast daily beginning Monday, January 4. The restaurant will serve breakfast (including a "cheesesteak omelet") from 6:30-11 a.m. Monday through Friday, 8-11 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday.

The Central West End location of Pi (400 North Euclid Avenue; website) is now open for lunch. The hours at the third location of the popular pizza restaurant are 11 a.m.-midnight Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday.

Finally, the Shaved Duck (2900 Virginia Avenue; website) will open for lunch beginning Monday, January 4. The restaurant will serve lunch 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
